The tour will start from the original Roman gate: Porta Marina Superiore. After an introduction to the history of Pompeii and the tragic eruption of Vesuvius, your guide will lead you through the Roman Forum where you will discover the fascinating Forum Baths recently reopened after years of maintenance! From there, you will stroll towards the famous and iconic "Regio V" to admire the latest openings of the archaeological park. A first stop is a must at the Tower of Mercury from where you can admire Pompeii "from above". The tour then moves to the monumental House of the Silver Wedding, the home of a member of the Pompeian aristocracy. Once the visit of this majestic domus is finished, the tour will continue along via Stabiana and from there you will observe the facade of the house of "Caecilius Iucindus", then arriving at the most interesting part of this tour: the insula of Casti Amanti, an archaeological site "live" and restaurateurs actively working on site. You will be ready to remove the veil of 2,000 years of time...photos or videos are not allowed for obvious security reasons in this recently opened area, while they are allowed throughout the archaeological park.
