The liaison between Rome and cinematic art starts at the beginning of the 20^th Century and intensifies when in 1937 the Cinecittà Studios were founded. Nowadays this area has been transformed into a museum but for a long time it was one of the largest production sets in the world. The official recognition of this relationship came in 2015, when UNESCO declared Rome “Unesco City of Film”, including the city in the network of creative cities in the world.

Then there is, obviously, the Rome of Federico Fellini, an international master of cinema, who made some places in the city unforgettable through his dreamlike and elegant language.
