Your experience begins with the comfort of a private van at your disposal, welcoming you directly at your preferred meeting point and accompanying you throughout the day, including the return at the end of the tour. Upon arrival, you will enter the archaeological site from the main gate, Porta Marina, where the ancient city opens before you with Mount Vesuvius rising dramatically in the background.
Together, we will retrace the final moments of Pompeii — the eruption, the catastrophe, and the fascinating history of the excavations — gaining a deep understanding of what truly happened in 79 AD. You will explore the Basilica, the Forumwith its market and main temples, the political and religious heart of Roman life. Walking along the Decumanus Maximus, you will step inside extraordinary buildings such as the spectacular Suburban Baths, recently reopened to the public, while also discovering the symbolic and intriguing aspects of Roman culture, including the famous Lupanar.
We will visit some of the most fascinating domus, where art, architecture, and daily life merge into a compelling narrative enriched by archaeological insight that only highly trained guides can provide.
The journey continues through shops, frescoes, mosaics, bakeries, theaters, and stories of citizens and gladiators, brought vividly to life through engaging storytelling and academic expertise.
