A few minutes of crossing separate Procida from the Neapolitan coast: its colors immediately impose themselves to the eye, welcoming all of us with sweetness and poetry.
Living it with your expert guide will be unforgettable!
The journey will start from the Port of Marina Grande, where you land both by ferries and by private boats.
Immediately, the palace in front is Palazzo Montefusco, called "della Catena", formerly chosen by the Kings as a summer residence: the beauty of Procida fascinated everyone!
Perhaps even more fascinating, however, will be the fishermen's houses that line the port: so unique as to define the appearance of the island and become the most recognizable detail.
The vision will be poetic from one of the highest places on the island, the Village of Terra Murata: in its "elbow" curve the spectacle of the colorful and leaning houses, together with the crystal clear sea, will form a truly amazing image.
This area of the island, still populated by permanent inhabitants, is full of narrow streets and steep climbs: just follow them to reach the Royal Palace, also called The Castle of Avalos.
Built by the D'Avalos family, it was used for two centuries as the Royal Palace, and then turned into a prison. Closed definitively in 1988, for some years its reuse has made it available to the community and visitors, becoming a real museum complex.
The most impressive monument of the village is undoubtedly the Abbey of San Michele: of ancient foundation (7th-8th centuries), it was repeatedly assaulted throughout history.
Back to the center of the island, the last stop will be the wonderful Chiaiolella: the "small beach" is also the most beautiful on the island, and will give you a truly breathtaking view.
You will be free to visit the island, walking along its narrow streets and visiting the small squares: your guide will be there to advise you on the best way to spend your stay.
